Marios completed his degree in Information Design at Pretoria University in 1997, and began his career under the guidance of Iaan Bekker and his inspiring design team at FCB.
After 3 and a half years of vast exposure to a variety of top clients (Toyota, Vodacom and Nabisco) and disciplines (CI, brochureware and packaging) his itchy feet and passion for football sent him to the UK, where he gained further experience (editorial, production and hooliganism!) working for both West Ham United and Arsenal football clubs.
Marios returned to SA in the summer of 2005 (somewhat foot-balled out) and, after enjoyable stints at several Johannesburg agencies, finally arrived at Yellowwood in 2007, excited about the opportunity of reestablishing his collaboration with Richard Stone (who had taught him a great deal about both design and Life!). Since joining the company he's had the pleasure of working on a variety of great brands (Avusa, Discovery and Coca-Cola).
Early in 2009 Marios relocated from Johannesburg to Cape Town and in August returned to Yellowwood, working out of the Cape Town office. Recent work includes FoodCorp, Iziko and DairyBelle.
In the background he loves venturing into the outdoors (especially in his new surroundings) and his passion for football remains. He awaits the day when his beloved 'Irons' finally return to their dizzy heights of the 60's… but we're not holding our breath
