Gerhard has extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative market research, giving him a thorough understanding of the South African consumer landscape and what is most important from the customer’s point of view. He joined Yellowwood in 2014 so that he could do, once again, what he is truly passionate about: creative, strategic marketing and brand development.
Gerhard’s career began in the advertising industry where he was trained in account management and strategic planning, and worked across diverse products and industries. In 2002 he founded his own market research agency which he ran successfully for more than a decade. He has experience in brand development from his time at Added Value.
Gerhard has a B.Comm degree from the University of Johannesburg and an irreverent sense of humour. He is inspired by the quest for new insight, deeper understanding and finding an original take on things.
